Lockdown

Life has been different for most everyone since the first lockdown.

Like many my writer husband and I fled the increasing violence in the city that is executed by agents provocature, funded by billionaires and promoted by media desiring to implement The Great Reset.

You will own nothing and you will be happy.” Klaus Schwab World Economic Forum

I don’t think so, Klaus.

We landed in the stunningly beautiful high plains of Taos, living in a tent while building our tiny earthship home, only to be driven out by more severe lockdowns which made obtaining building materials difficult to impossible. Then came the snow, freezing temperatures, and 60 mph winds.

Needless to say, none of this is conducive to painting, but I always carried some blocks of Arches hot pressed paper (just running my fingers across it’s surface makes me happy) and pencils and pens in my bag.

My drawings are different from my paintings as they express confinement and isolation.
